Kevin Kampl: 'Borussia Dortmund aiming for top-four finish next season'

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Kevin Kampl believes that the former Bundesliga champions can mount a title challenge under coach Thomas Tuchel next season.

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Kevin Kampl has insisted that the club can finish in the top four of the Bundesliga next season.

The former German champions found themselves in the relegation zone halfway through last season, but recent signing Kampl believes that Dortmund will be able to mount a title challenge under new coach Thomas Tuchel.

"A lot is expected of you when you play for Dortmund - and a lot of that expectation comes from within," said Kampl, according to Goal.com.

"We want to try to attack those Champions League places and compete with the top three of four.

"And given the quality in the team, I'm sure we can manage that."

Borussia finished the 2014-15 Bundesliga campaign in seventh position as long-standing manager Jurgen Klopp bid farewell to the club.
