Swansea City make Mark Davies approach

Swansea City are understood to have made an approach to Bolton Wanderers over midfielder Mark Davies.

Trotters manager Owen Coyle recently claimed that no bids had been made for the 24-year-old amid reported interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

The Swans have now made contact with the Championship side over the former England Under-19 international, reports Sky Sports News.

A move for Davies could leave the door open for Liverpool to make a serious bid for Swansea's Joe Allen.
