Klasnic plays down transfer talk

Croatian international Ivan Klasnic has cooled speculation that he is ready to leave Bolton Wanderers this summer in favour of a return to his homeland.

The 32-year-old has recently been linked with a move to Croatian club Rijeka when the Premier League season concludes next weekend.

However, the striker insists that he was previously unaware of the stories.

"This is the first time that I have heard something like that," Klasnic told Novi List.

"I don't know anything about Rijeka's interest and, for sure, nobody has called me so far.

"I'm glad that they rate me so highly in Croatia and I understand that they have big ambitions but the reality is something different."

Klasnic joined Bolton in 2009 from French side Nantes.
