Zat Knight, Chris Eagles, Tyrone Mears and Jay Lynch will be released by Bolton Wanderers when their contracts expire at the end of the season.

Bolton Wanderers have announced that Zat Knight, Tyrone Mears, Chris Eagles and Jay Lynch will all leave the club this summer.

The Championship club have opted to release the quartet, all of whom come to the end of their contracts next month.

Knight made 191 appearances during his five-year stay at the Reebok Stadium, while Eagles featured in 106 games, scoring 19 goals overall.

Mears will leave the club following 32 appearances, while goalkeeper Lynch will also look for pastures new.

A statement on Bolton's official website said: "The club would like to thank the players for their efforts whilst with Bolton and wish them the best for their future careers."

It has also been confirmed that the club are holding further contract talks with Stuart Holden, Andre Moritz and Arran Lee-Barrett.
