Bolton Wanderers take Kalifa Cisse on trial

Bolton Wanderers have taken Bristol City's out-of-contract midfielder Kalifa Cisse on trial ahead of the new Championship season.

The 27-year-old has so far rejected City's offer of a new contract, and therefore is free to negotiate with other clubs.

The Malian will join up with Bolton for their pre-season tour of Scotland before a decision on his long-term future is made.

Cisse has one international cap to his name.
