Bolton Wanderers draw with Nottingham Forest thanks to late Stephen Dobbie goal

Late Dobbie strike secures Bolton draw

A late Stephen Dobbie strike has earned Bolton Wanderers a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest, who had taken the lead thanks to a David Vaughan goal.

Dorian Dervite narrowly headed over from a Dean Moxey cross as Bolton, and debutant Wellington Silva in particular, started strongly.

Forest started to hit back and Henri Lansbury curled an effort over the bar, before Ben Osborn found himself shooting straight down Ben Amos's throat when one-on-one with the keeper.

Bolton were awarded a penalty just after half time when Zach Clough was pushed over by Matt Mills, but Gary Madine's effort was saved by Dorus de Vries, with Madine heading the rebound wide.

Michail Antonio fired over the bar from a tight angle before Forest took the lead through a 25-yard thundering strike from substitute Vaughan.

Bolton pressed for the equaliser and it came just before the final whistle as Dobbie rifled a strike in to the bottom corner.

It was Bolton's first goal in five games and they now move up to 23rd in the Championship. Forest move up to tenth.
