Bolton Wanderers midfielder Neil Danns has revealed his excitement after being called up by the Guyana national team.
The 32-year-old, whose previous clubs include Crystal Palace, Birmingham City and Colchester United, qualifies for the South American country through his grandfather.
Guyana face St Lucia at the National Stadium in Georgetown on March 22 before taking on Grenada at the same venue a week later, and Danns cannot wait to be involved.
"It's a new experience going to play at an international level and obviously a different tempo and different styles of matches," he told Sky Sports News.
"It's one I look forward to being involved in. When I first got the call I was actually really excited because I've never really thought about it.
"It never crossed my mind that I would get an opportunity to play international football, and as soon as I got the call I was excited and really, really enthusiastic about it."
Millwall defender Matthew Briggs, who is currently on loan at Colchester, is also in the Guyana squad.
