Bell passes away

Former Bolton Wanderers defender Eric Bell has passed away at the age of 82.

The wing-half made 118 appearances for the Trotters between 1949 and 1958, while he famously netted during the 1953 FA Cup final against Blackpool.

The Manchester-born defender was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and battled the illness during his final years.

He died at a care home on Sunday.
