Everton's Apostolos Vellios joins Blackpool on loan

Everton striker Apostolos Vellios has joined Championship side Blackpool on loan for the remainder of the season.

The former Greek Under-21 international is out of favour at Goodison Park, and has not made a single Premier League appearance this term.

Vellios, who joined Everton from Iraklis in 2011, last featured for the Blues in a goalless draw with Swansea City in January 2013.

The 22-year-old could make his Blackpool debut against Queens Park Rangers this weekend.
