Tom Barkhuizen to remain at Blackpool

Blackpool have activated the 12-month option in Tom Barkhuizen's contract.

As a result, the 20-year-old, who came through the academy at Bloomfield Road, will remain with the Championship club next season.

"Being a local lad, I'm really happy to stay and hopefully I can build on the games I've played this season," he told the club's official website.

The winger scored twice during his 15 outings last term.
