Report: Blackpool in negotiations with defender Thomas Piermayr

Blackpool are in negotiations to sign defender Thomas Piermayr, according to a report.

The Austrian has been training with the Tangerines for the past week as the club seek to rebuild their squad for their expected relegation to League One next season.

The 25-year-old has been without a club since leaving the Colorado Rapids at the end of the 2014 MLS season and would be able to join Lee Clark's men at the end of the campaign, reports the Daily Mail.

Blackpool will be officially relegated if Rotherham United beat Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday, or if they fail to record victory against Reading on Tuesday.
