Blackpool striker Kevin Phillips has activated a clause in his contract which will keep him at the club for a further season.
The 38-year-old will reportedly retire at the end of the next season, after deciding to remain at Bloomfield Road for a further year.
Blackpool lost out on a spot in next season's Premier League after losing to West Ham United in the Championship playoff final.
Phillips scored 17 goals for the Seasiders this season.
