Chris Eagles wants Blackpool stay

Chris Eagles says that he wants to remain at Blackpool after his short-term contract expires in January.

Blackpool midfielder Chris Eagles has revealed that he would like to remain at the club.

The 29-year-old moved to Bloomfield Road on a short-term contract last month, which expires in January.

Eagles, who scored in Blackpool's 2-2 draw at Charlton Athletic on Saturday, hopes that his future can be secured soon.

"I want to stay until the end of the season, everyone knows that," he told the Blackpool Gazette.

"I'm in talks with the club at the moment. I'd like to seal the deal now. I'll hopefully be having a chat about extending it this week.

"I'm loving it here. I get on with all the lads and the gaffer, and the fans have taken to me too. It's brilliant."

Eagles had been without a club since being released by Bolton Wanderers during the summer.
