Blackpool loan defender Tony McMahon

Blackpool have secured the loan signing of defender Tony McMahon from Sheffield United.

McMahon has made 26 appearances for the Blades this season, but Blackpool caretaker boss Barry Ferguson has managed to secure a 28-day deal for the former Middlesbrough defender.

The Championship side have allowed left-back Bob Harris to move to Bramall Lane in exchange for the signing of the 27-year-old.

Harris, who has also had a loan spell with Rotherham United, has featured three times for the Seasiders during this campaign.
