Preview: Blackpool vs. Sheffield Wednesday

Sports Mole previews this weekend's Championship match between Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday.

The top half of the table meets the bottom half in the Championship this weekend when Blackpool take on Sheffield Wednesday at Bloomfield Road.

Paul Ince's side will be unable to reach the top three of the table, but they can edge closer to Queens Park Rangers with a victory on home turf.

Blackpool have only lost one game in their last six, but a number of draws have prevented the Seasiders from moving out of the playoff places.

For the visiting side, Dave Jones's men still linger in the relegation spots of the table having won just one game this season so far.

The victory came in the form of a 5-2 win over Reading on November 2, but they are likely to remain in the bottom three even if they snatch all three points.

In this fixture last season, neither side was able to break the deadlock in a goalless draw.

Recent form
