Michael Chopra has insisted that having his family around him will help him to adapt to life with Blackpool.
The 29-year-old completed his move to the Seasiders yesterday afternoon following a spell in East Anglia with Ipswich Town.
Having moved back up to the north of England, the striker has expressed his delight at the fact that he can now surround himself with his family, who had stayed in his hometown Newcastle when he joined Ipswich.
"There were other clubs in for me, it was just a case of me seeing where I wanted to go and where I would be happy," he told the Blackpool Gazette.
"I'll be able to bring my family to the area, which will be nice. When I was at Ipswich my, family couldn't really come down as it was so far away. That will really help me as a player as I'll have my family around me."
Chopra was close to joining Barnsley before Blackpool declared their interest.
