Ian Evatt insists that Blackpool must continue to focus on one game at a time.

Blackpool defender Ian Evatt has said that the club must continue to focus on one game at a time.

Evatt, whose side beat Southampton 3-0 last weekend, admits that the Seasiders have made mistakes this season when attempting to look too far ahead. Therefore, with six games to go, the former QPR man has called for focus on Watford ahead of this afternoon's trip to Vicarage Road.

"There were some amazing performances [against Southampton]," he said.

"It wasn't a bad defensive performance. We defended well at Reading last week, but we conceded from three set pieces. We've worked hard on those this week and it paid off.

"When we start getting ahead of ourselves and look at the bigger picture we seem to have a wobble, so I know it's a bit of a cliché but we're just looking to take one game at a time."

Blackpool are currently in fifth place in the Championship on goal difference alone.
