Steve Kean not ruling out Raul switch

Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean isn't ruling out a move for Schalke forward Raul.

The Bundesliga club had previously stated that the ex-Real Madrid man did not want to leave, but Kean says the Spaniard's former team-mate Michel Salgado believed it could happen.

"Speaking to Michel we had the impression it was doable," said Kean. "We had the funds in place to make it happen. He was anxious to give us a go and I don't think it's dead and buried."

Rovers face an away trip to Aston Villa on Saturday.
