Blackburn Rovers make Sacha Petshi their first summer signing

Blackburn Rovers have made their first signing of the summer with the addition of free agent Sacha Petshi.

The French midfielder, 23, has signed a one-year contract, with the option of a further year, at Ewood Park.

"It has always been my goal to play in England," Petshi told the club website. "I love English football and I think my physique will suit the English game."

Petshi scored one goal in 22 appearances for French third-tier side Bastia last season.

Blackburn are under a transfer embargo for breaking Financial Fair Play regulations and can only make free or loan signings.
