Blackburn Rovers close to signing Fulham midfielder Dickson Etuhu

Blackburn Rovers are close to completing a deal to sign Fulham midfielder Dickson Etuhu, according to reports.

The Daily Mail understands that Etuhu is prepared to drop down to the Championship in search of regular first-team football.

Etuhu made just nine Premier League starts at Craven Cottage last season and is not understood to be a part of Martin Jol's plans in West London.

Rovers boss Steve Kean would re-unite Etuhu with his former Fulham teammate Danny Murphy, who moved to Ewood Park earlier this summer.
