Felix Goddard signs new Blackburn Rovers contract, joins Marine on loan

"I'm very happy to get it over the line and I can't wait to kick on and keep improving as a player," the goalkeeper told the club's official website.

"I've improved massively in my time here and have matured over the last three years. I feel I've kicked on every season and improved my game. I've been really pleased with my development.

"The senior goalkeepers here are great to learn from and I've received a lot of advice throughout my time. It's a great environment at Rovers and a great union to be a part of. I want to keep on developing over these next two years and to gain more experience until I'm hopefully ready for the first team.

"This loan will be good. It'll be similar to last season where I'll play loads of games and look to build on those experiences, gaining new ones as well.

"I'll hopefully become a better goalkeeper from it. Games are what I look forward to every week and that's always the main buzz I get. With loads of games to come in senior football, it's a time that I'm really looking forward to."
