Scott Dann says that Blackburn Rovers need to approach their next five games as if they were World Cup finals.

Blackburn Rovers defender Scott Dann believes that the struggling club are capable of staying in the Premier League and need to approach every game like a World Cup final.

Steve Kean's side have five games left to survive the drop into the Championship, starting with a home fixture against Liverpool.

"Every game between now and the end of the season is a World Cup final for us, and we've got to put in some big performances and get some points," said Dann.

"I think we've got to be looking to win all our home games, and maybe get a few points away to get out of the position we are in as quickly as possible.

"Liverpool have not had the best results, and people will say it is a better time to play them, but they are a top team and they will be wanting to put their performances right as well, so it's going to be a really tough game."

Blackburn have won two of their last six games in the league.
