Steve Kean: "I'm not going anywhere"

Steve Kean insists that he will remain the manager of Blackburn Rovers next season.

Steve Kean has insisted that he will still be the manager of Blackburn Rovers next season.

The 44-year-old's future at Ewood Park has been called into question after he failed to prevent the club from being relegated to the Championship on Monday evening.

However, Kean has revealed that the club's owners are fully supportive of his ability to manage Rovers.

"Their reaction was the same as ours, they were devastated," he told reporters. "We are very numb. We have taken a step backwards but we now have to prepare a squad and the process has already started.

"Moving forward it is going to be an exciting time for the club. We have taken a massive backward step but we have to look forward and make sure we can get back at the first time of asking.

"The owners are not going anywhere, I'm not going anywhere."

Kean took charge of Rovers in December 2010.
