Blackburn caretaker manager Gary Bowyer credits his side's fighting display following Friday's 1-1 draw with Blackpool in the Championship.

Blackburn Rovers caretaker manager Gary Bowyer has credited his players for their fighting spirit following Friday's 1-1 draw with Blackpool in the Championship.

Jordan Rhodes earned the hosts a point with 11 minutes left to play at Ewood Park after Gary MacKenzie's opener.

"Full credit to the players, the way they responded was magnificent," Sky Sports News quotes Bowyer as saying. "They could have felt sorry for themselves but they didn't.

"We're fortunate to have Jordan, who's scored as many goals as he has this season."

Friday's point has lifted Blackburn five points clear of the relegation zone.
