Blackburn Rovers have sealed a place in the fourth round of the Carling Cup with a 3-2 win against Leyton Orient.
Blackburn dominated possession in the first half, firing a string of shots while Orient failed to trouble Mark Bunn. The only goal of the session finally came a minute before half-time as Jason Roberts capitalised on a penalty, conceded by Ben Chorley's unfair challenge on Martin Olsson.
The League One side staged a comeback just after the hour as David Mooney equalised from inside the box, but the hosts' Ruben Rochina regained the lead shortly afterwards.
A 75th-minute goal from Simon Vukcevic gave the Blue and Whites an unassailable lead, although Dean Cox managed to again reduce the difference to one five minutes before full-time.
