Half-Time Report: Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough have a 1-0 lead over Blackburn Rovers at half-time in tonight's Championship clash at Ewood Park.

The visitors made the breakthrough after only seven minutes as Lukas Jutkiewicz collected Marvin Emnes's pass before firing past Paul Robinson at the near post.

Blackburn struggled to get going throughout the half but had a good chance to level when Jordan Rhodes nearly converted Bradley Orr's cross.

Boro came close to doubling their lead midway through the half when Grant Leadbitter's free kick narrowly missed the top corner.

The home side almost grabbed a fortunate equaliser in first-half injury time, but Fabio Nunes's cross clipped the crossbar before going out.
