Lee Clark looking ahead to next transfer window

Birmingham City boss Lee Clark has revealed that he is looking at several players who could be cast aside by their current clubs in the summer.

Birmingham City manager Lee Clark has revealed that he is already looking at several players who could potentially leave their current clubs in the summer.

The loan window closed on Thursday, with the Blues failing to make any additions to their squad.

However, Clark has said that he is monitoring players who could find themselves without a club when the transfer window reopens.

"What we have done, and it's a really good idea from our development coach Richard Beale, is look at all the clubs around the country and see which ones have made early decisions about players to release," Clark told the Birmingham Mail.

"Now, it's thought they're not going to make the grade there with their clubs. But that's not to say they couldn't come and do the business for us.

"So we're having a good look as we plan ahead for next season."

Birmingham are preparing to face Crystal Palace on Friday evening.
