Benfica deny interest in Norwich City's Ricky van Wolfswinkel

Benfica have denied that Norwich City striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel is a transfer target for the Portuguese club this summer.

Local reports had claimed that the league champions were planning a move for the 25-year-old, who has struggled to make an impact at the newly-relegated Championship club.

However, Benfica have claimed on their official website that Van Wolfswinkel is "not part of the plans of the club".

The forward signed for the Canaries last year.
