Wolfsburg make Luiz Gustavo offer to Bayern Munich

Wolfsburg director of sport Klaus Allofs has revealed that the club have made an offer for Bayern Munich midfielder Luiz Gustavo.

It has been suggested that midfield arrivals this summer would harm Gustavo's chances of first-team football next season, but the Brazilian recently claimed that he wants to remain with Bayern.

However, Allofs told Bild: "We've made contact and expressed our interest. We want to do things correctly. There are still some obstacles to overcome, however."

Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in the midfielder.
