Daniel van Buyten wants Bayern Munich stay

Daniel van Buyten is confident that he will extend his stay at Bayern Munich, despite not being offered a new deal yet.

Bayern Munich centre-back Daniel van Buyten has revealed that he intends to sign a new deal with the Bavarian club, although he has not yet been offered a new contract.

Van Buyten said that there is no better club to be at in the world, and despite not being offered another deal he is not concerned about his future at the club.

"If you are a Bayern Munich player, you basically want to stay on being a player of Bayern Munich," Van Buyten told Kicker.

"It's not a problem [that I have not been offered a deal]. There is no change for me as I would not sign a deal with another club without talking to Bayern first. Bayern know exactly where I am, and how I am."

Bayern are currently 16 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
