Thomas Muller speaks of Louis van Gaal bond

Bayern Munich attacker Thomas Muller has revealed that he shares a close bond with Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal.

Muller starred under Van Gaal when the Dutch manager was in charge at the Allianz Arena between 2009 and 2011, and the 25-year-old has claimed that he still has a close relationship with the now Man United head coach.

"It's a secret for nobody," he is quoted as saying by The Independent.

"Louis van Gaal and I have a relationship that goes beyond that which is normal between a player and a coach."

Muller has recently been linked with a move to Old Trafford after reports of a falling-out with Bayern boss Pep Guardiola.
