Jupp Heynckes: 'No chance Robert Lewandowski will join Real Madrid'

Heynckes: 'Lewandowski will not join Madrid'

Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has warned Real Madrid against making an approach for Robert Lewandowski and says that the Spanish giants "have no chance at all" of signing the striker.

Lewandowski is widely considered to be Los Blancos' top striking target for the summer transfer window following a campaign that has seen him net 35 times in all competitions.

Heynckes has previously predicted that Bayern will fend off any offers for their star man, and the 72-year-old - expected to step aside before next season - has now reiterated that not-for-sale stance.

"[Chairman] Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has already said it - with Robert, Real Madrid have no chance at all," he told reporters ahead of Tuesday's Champions League clash with Sevilla.

Heynckes also admitted that he is unsure whether Bayern will turn James Rodriguez's loan deal into a permanent move, with Rummenigge stating that the club are "not in a hurry" to discuss terms.
