Pep Guardiola: 'Jerome Boateng staying at Bayern Munich'

Bayern Munich head coach Pep Guardiola has moved to end speculation that has linked Jerome Boateng with a switch to Barcelona.

A report in Spain had claimed that the Germany international had informed Guardiola that he wanted to continue his career at the Camp Nou.

However, Guardiola has insisted that the former Manchester City centre-back is a part of his plans for the upcoming campaign.

"I don't usually say anything about things I read in the newspaper, but I am planning 100% with [Boateng] here," he told reporters.

Boateng, 25, joined Bayern from City back in 2011.
