Dante plays down Bayern Munich exit talk

Bayern Munich defender Dante vows to regain his spot in the German side's starting XI.

Brazilian centre-back Dante has played down suggestions that he will seek a move away from Bayern Munich this summer.

The 31-year-old's already-fragile future at the Allianz was thrown into further doubt at the weekend when he was replaced after just 32 minutes of his side's league match against Hannover.

Former Bayern attacker Stefan Effenberg has recently claimed that Dante will be sold this summer, but the defender has vowed to regain his spot in the XI.

"I have a contract with Bayern and I want to help Bayern win on the pitch or, if necessary, from the bench. However, I will not lie and say that I am satisfied to be on the bench," Dante told Sport Bild.

A number of European clubs are said to be monitoring developments.
