Mehdi Benatia rules out Bayern Munich exit

Mehdi Benatia insists that he will not leave Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window.

Mehdi Benatia has claimed that he has no intention of leaving Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window.

The Moroccan centre-back only joined the German champions from Roma last year, but recent reports have linked him with a move to Inter Milan as Roberto Mancini looks to improve his defence.

However, Benatia claims that he is desperate to help Bayern win the Champions League after being knocked out by eventual winners Barcelona.

"Every summer we speak about my possible transfers, but the reality is that I have a contract with Bayern and I want to respect it," the 28-year-old told Mountakhab TV.

"We lost in the semi-finals of the Champions League to Barcelona and now we want to redeem ourselves next season because the objective of this club is to win the Champions League.

"So, I'm ruling out any possible departure from Bayern."

Benatia signed a five-year deal when he arrived at the Allianz Arena.
