Bayern identify Leno as Neuer replacement?

Bayern Munich have reportedly pinpointed Arsenal keeper Bernd Leno as the club's primary candidate to replace Manuel Neuer.

Leno, who joined Arsenal from Bayer Leverkusen in 2018, has established himself as the club's number one keeper following a tricky first few months.

Neuer, now 33 years old, remains Bayern's first choice but injuries and age have combined to make the Germany keeper more prone to producing mistakes.

According to The Sun, the Bundesliga champions have identified Leno as their preferred candidate to replace Neuer next summer.

Bayern have recently enacted fundamental change at the club by sacking Niko Kovac in the wake of a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend.

Under assistant coach Hansi Flick, the Bavarian side responded in perfect fashion by thrashing Borussia Dortmund 4-0 at the Allianz Arena on Sunday.
