Xabi Alonso unsure of Bayern Munich future

Spanish midfielder Xabi Alonso has admitted that he is unsure whether he will sign a new contract at Bayern Munich.

The 33-year-old joined Bayern from Real Madrid last summer and made 40 appearances during his first season in Germany.

Alonso's current deal expires next summer, however, and the central midfielder does not know where his long-term future lies.

"My contract? We will see what happens. This is not the time to discuss this subject," Alonso told reporters.

Alonso is expected to return to former club Real Sociedad before hanging up his boots.
