Team News: Pep Guardiola responds to injuries with reshuffle against Eintracht Frankfurt

Pep Guardiola hands starts to Thiago Alcantara and Mitchell Weiser as the injury-hit Bayern Munich host Eintracht Frankfurt.

Bayern Munich head coach Pep Guardiola has been forced into a reshuffle for the Bundesliga clash with Eintracht Frankfurt at the Allianz Arena.

Mehdi Benatia joined Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and David Alaba on the injury list this week, and Guardiola has only named four substitutes on his bench.

Manuel Neuer fills one of those places on the bench as Pepe Reina gets a rare start in goal, but there are starts for Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller and Mario Gotze.

An ankle injury keeps Bastian Schweinsteiger out and gives an opportunity to Mitchell Weiser in midfield.

Marc Stendera is given a recall by Frankfurt boss Thomas Schaaf, while Haris Seferovic is once again trusted to lead the line for the visitors.

Bayern: Reina, Alonso, Dante, Rafinha, Bernat, Gotze, Lahm, Thiago, Lewandowski, Muller, Weiser

Frankfurt: Trapp; Oczipka, Madlung, Anderson, Chandler; Kittel, Stendera, Hasebe, Aigner; Valdez, Seferovic
