Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has reportedly held talks with the Qatar national team about becoming their coach.
The Qatar Football Association are believed to be keen on signing up the Spaniard, who spent two years in their country playing for Al-Ahli.
The 44-year-old has had a glittering career so far having coached Barcelona for four years, and is currently in his second season in charge of Bundesliga giants Bayern.
According to German newspaper Bild, Qatar, who received public backing from Guardiola for their 2022 World Cup bid, could offer the coach a lucrative deal to take charge of the national team.
Guardiola has previously stated that he wants to take a managerial job in England before coaching at international level.
