Manuel Neuer "hungry and ambitious"

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer insists that he is still hungry to win trophies despite his vast success in the last few years.

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has said that he is still "hungry and ambitious" to win trophies despite an incredible couple of years.

The German has won the Champions League, two league titles, two German cups and the World Cup in the last couple of seasons, but the stopper has insisted that he is still hungry for success.

"I am happy to be back. I am looking forward to the new challenges with Bayern and with the national team and the qualification for the European Championship," Neuer told DFB-TV.

"After a year in which we have won two titles with Bayern and became the World Cup winners, I will stay hungry and ambitious."

Neuer's understudy at Bayern this season will be Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
