Pep Guardiola: "We are ready"

Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola insists that his side is ready to defend the Bundesliga title.

Pep Guardiola has insisted that Bayern Munich are ready to begin the defence of their Bundesliga title.

The former Barcelona manager, who recently asked fans to give him time, will take charge of the German champions during a league match for the first time this evening.

Speaking at a press conference, the coach said: "The season starts now, and we are ready. It's difficult to say where we are right now. We are in a process.

"[Borussia Monchengladbach] are one of the best teams in the Bundesliga. They can be very, very dangerous."

Bayern face Gladbach at the Allianz Arena this evening.
