Former Bayern Munich midfielder Stefan Effenberg criticises Franck Ribery and Toni Kroos for their unsporting behaviour in Saturday's victory over Hertha Berlin.

Former Bayern Munich midfielder Stefan Effenberg has criticised midfield pair Franck Ribery and Toni Kroos for their conduct in the club's 6-0 win over Hertha Berlin on Saturday.

The midfield duo decided who would take a free kick during the match by playing 'rock, paper, scissors,' and Effenberg has admitted his despair at the incident.

"They were playing against a team that is fighting against relegation and for them to be joking around – this should not happen," Effenberg told Sky90.

Effenberg was part of the Bayern side that was beaten 2-1 by Manchester United in the 1999 Champions League Final.
