Bayern Munich 'to offer Pep Guardiola £17m a year to snub Premier League'

Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing a bumper new contract for manager Pep Guardiola to fend off Premier League interest.

Bayern Munich are reportedly planning to offer manager Pep Guardiola £17m a year to stay beyond the expiration of his contract this summer.

The Bundesliga giants want the Spaniard to commit to a fresh two-year deal to fend off reported interest from the Premier League, according to The Mirror.

Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City have been linked with the former Barcelona manager at one stage or another.

Guardiola is already the highest-paid coach in the world on £14m per year, and the new contract Bayern are preparing is said to be loaded with incentives.

Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is reportedly pushing to open talks for the start of the Bundesliga winter break, but it is unknown whether Guardiola is interested in remaining at the club long term.
