Bayern Munich's Philipp Lahm: "Our faults" let Juventus back in

Philipp Lahm says that Bayern Munich only have themselves to blame for throwing away a two-goal lead in the opening leg of their Champions League tie against Juventus.

Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm has admitted that his side allowed Juventus back into the game in Turin this evening.

Goals from Thomas Muller and Arjen Robben put Bayern 2-0 up by the 55th minute, but hosting Juve ensured that the second leg of their Champions League tie would still have plenty riding on it thanks to goals from Paulo Dybala and Stefano Sturaro.

Reflecting on the contest with UEFA's official website, Lahm said: "That was a very good game. Juventus is a strong team that fought back because of our faults.

"But we can definitely build on the first 60 minutes. We controlled the game, had a lot of chances and didn't give anything away."

The two sides will face each other again at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, March 16.
