All four goals in first half as Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund draw

All four goals are scored in the first half as Bundesliga sides Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund play out a 2-2 draw at the BayArena.

All four goals came in the first half this evening as Bundesliga sides Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund played out a 2-2 draw at the BayArena.

Both sides got off to fast starts, with Marco Reus having a low shot saved at one end before Stefan Kiessling's header rattled the bar at the other.

Leverkusen would break through moments later in the eighth minute, though, thanks to Lars Bender's close-range header.

The visitors were level on the half-hour mark when Reus crossed for Oliver Kirch to finish.

Leverkusen restored their advantage just five minutes later through Gonzalo Castro, who headed home Julian Brandt's centre.

They were back in front for just a few minutes, though, as Reus tucked home a penalty after Roberto Hilbert handled the ball in the area.

There was less goalmouth action after the break, with Leverkusen coming closest to scoring a winner through Son Heung-Min and Brandt.

A point sees Leverkusen edge one clear of Wolfsburg in the race for the top four, while Dortmund are now seven points clear in second.
