Barcelona forward David Villa will miss the club's pre-season friendly against Hamburg has he continues to recover from a broken leg.
The 30-year-old, who picked up the injury in December, was expected to take part in the Catalan's first match of pre-season, but it is understood that he has still not reached full fitness.
Carlos Puyol has also been left out of the squad as Tito Vilanova takes charge of his first match as Barcelona boss.
Barcelona finished second in La Liga last season.
