Report: Villarreal target Javier Espinosa

Villarreal are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona B midfielder Javier Espinosa.

The 21-year-old, who has made 32 appearances for the Segunda Division side this season, will be out of contract at the end of June.

As it stands, talks over a new deal at the Camp Nou have stalled and according to Inside Spanish Football, Villarreal want to acquire the midfielder's services for next season.

Espinosa has been with Barcelona since the age of 14, but has not made a single first-team appearance.

Villarreal will play Europa League football next season.
