Report: Sergi Roberto to leave Barcelona on loan

Spanish midfielder Sergi Roberto will reportedly leave Barcelona on loan this summer.

The 22-year-old has been with the Catalan outfit since 2006 and enjoyed a breakthrough season last term, making 27 appearances in all competitions.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barca boss Luis Enrique believes that the midfielder's development will be best served by a loan stint.

It is understood that a number of Spanish clubs are monitoring developments, as well as teams from Italy and England.
