Report: Atletico Madrid want Gerard Deulofeu

A report claims that Atletico Madrid want to sign Spanish attacker Gerard Deulofeu, who is currently on loan at Sevilla from Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly preparing a surprise move for Barcelona attacker Gerard Deulofeu, who is currently on loan at Sevilla.

The 20-year-old impressed during a loan spell for Everton last season and had been expected to battle for a first-team spot at the Camp Nou this term.

The winger was sent on loan to Sevilla at the start of the campaign, however, and he has impressed in recent weeks after a slow start.

According to AS, Atletico want to sign Deulofeu on an initial loan deal in January, with a view to making the move permanent next summer.

Barcelona, however, are said to be unwilling to loan a player to one of their direct title rivals, which would prove a stumbling block for the La Liga champions.
