Barcelona manager Quique Setien has claimed that talisman Lionel Messi will stay at Camp Nou for the remainder of his career.
The six-time Ballon d'Or winner has been linked with a move away from the Catalan giants following unrest in the boardroom, although Messi has been quick to rubbish such rumours.
The Argentine's contract at Barcelona is set to expire next summer, but Setien has expressed his belief that Messi will finish his career at La Blaugrana.
Speaking to TV3, Setien said: "The ideal thing would be to work in a positive atmosphere. But I don't think those things will have an effect on Messi.
"We are sure he is going to continue with us and that he will finish his career at Camp Nou."
Messi has registered 627 goals in 718 games for Barcelona throughout his career, winning 10 La Liga titles and four Champions League crowns in that time.
